BT to increase broadband, television, phone and BT Sport prices in September
BT has announced that its broadband prices are set to rise from 16th September with increases affecting its broadband, TV, home phone and BT Sport services.
The exact price changes have not been declared in full as all affected customers will be notified directly. BT last updated its prices on 7th January this year.
Some of the changes have been made available in its Price Guide:
Standard Line Rental is set to increase from £18.99 to £19.99 per month. Out of plan calls to UK landlines will increase from 13p to 15p per minute daytime) and from 3p to 4p (evening). Out of plan calls to UK mobile phones will increase from 17p to 18p per minute. Voicemail is set to also be upped by 50p to £3.50 per month.
A raft of broadband, BT Sport and call package early terminations charges are also increasing depending on the customer package. Customers affected by the price increases are able to leave without having to pay an early termination charge – but need to contact BT within 30 days of receiving their personal notification detailing the price increase on their services.
Since January EE, Sky, Plusnet and Post Office Broadband have all increased pricing on some of their broadband services.
