Virgin Media customer base increases by 30k to 5.1 million
Virgin Media have announced a 30,000 increase in its customer base in the second quarter (Apr-Jun) this year, raising the overall base size to 5.1 million UK customers.
The fibre and TV provider confirmed an uplift of 118,000 newly connected premises to its network, and a strong demand for its higher speed broadband. Virgin also announced additional investment in Premier Sports, Paramount Network and Box Sets since the removal of UK TV from its channel line-up, whilst a three-year deal for expanded content was signed with ITV in July.
